Exposure to UV rays stimulates excessive production of free radicals, which, at both the epidermal and dermal levels, lead to cellular damage and the alteration of important macromolecules such as collagen and hyaluronic acid, causing premature skin aging.
SUNWARDS® and TANWARDS® products contain next-generation sun filters that reflect, absorb, and scatter the entire solar spectrum (Global Protection Technology), keeping skin safe and protected from the aggression of both UVB and UVA radiation.
Protection from UVB radiation: is described by the SPF (Sun Protection Factor) value. SUNWARDS® products have been developed with different SPF levels of 15, 30, and 50+ to meet different needs.
UVA Protection: SUNWARDS® products all feature the MAXIMUM UVA Star Rating, which describes the highest level of protection against UVA rays.
What’s more, SUNWARDS® sunscreens are also able to modulate the action of infrared radiation and visible light.

The lines also feature Synchroblock Technology, which prevents sunscreens from being absorbed through the skin. This provides two benefits:
1. Greater protective efficacy
2. Greater tolerability and safety of use. Ideal especially for children and very sensitive skin.

SUNWARDS® and TANWARDS® sunscreens are “very water resistant”: twice as water-resistant as the average sunscreen (Water Resistant). After four 20-minute immersions in water, the SPF value is no less than 50% of the SPF value indicated on the label.

TANWARDS® products are specific tanning accelerators: they stimulate melanin production for an intense and even tan.
